Dr. Stevens later graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School and achieved her goal of becoming a dentist.
After residing in Atlanta, Georgia for a year, she opened her own practice in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she provides “Comprehensive Oral Health Care.” Dr. Stevens believes “the oral cavity is the gateway to the rest of the human body.“
Not only does Dr. Stevens provide quality dental care for her patients, she volunteers and has made numerous donations to organizations like Partnership Against Domestic Violence, Advanced Career Training Institute, Big Brother/Big Sister Saturday Tutorials, Colgate Community Outreach Program, Liberty Medical Center, and an Indian Reservation in Arizona.
Dr. Stevens advice for anyone interested in entering the field of dentistry is, “Volunteer in your field to become familiar with the terminology and procedures. Try to get some hands-on experience. This will allow you to find out if it is really something you’d like to do.”
Her hobbies include running, decorating, traveling to exotic places, cooking and enjoying fine dining.
